My Party Is Your Party.

In 2015, shortly before the General Election, I went to Ramsgate to talk to the people who were expected to vote Nigel Farage into the Commons. I had interesting and informative conversations with a wide varity of people who seemed lost, confused and let down. My non-Englishness didnt seperate me from them. I was accepted as someone who was allowed to have an opinion. I was accepted as one of their own. As a farewell gift I received a UKIP manifesto.

I read the manifesto out loud in the Rag Factory, in London. I was dressed the part, in a suit and a tie. What happens when a foreigner reads the manifesto of a nationalist party, especially if that foreigner is German. Can I be a British Nationalist too, if I try really hard?
